Rydalmere NSW, 2116

Location: Rydalmere (NSW)

Contract: 6 Months (High potential for extension)

Company: Stowe Australia

About Stowe Australia

Stowe Australia is a leading family owned electrical and communications contractor with a heritage dating back to 1910. As one of Australia's largest electrical contractors with a national footprint and a workforce of over 2,000 employees, the company delivers comprehensive solutions across major projects. Driven by a strong safety culture and a commitment to innovation, Stowe combines over a century of operational excellence with a steady and diverse client base throughout the country.

The Opportunity

Stowe Australia is embarking on a major national transformation of our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems. We are moving away from legacy processes to implement the HSI Donesafe platform across our entire national operation.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong HSEQ exposure to help translate operational safety, quality, environmental and compliance requirements into clear business requirements, process maps, user workflows and implementation artefacts.

This role will work closely with HSEQ subject matter experts, branch and project teams, IT, and the HSI Donesafe implementation team to ensure the platform is practical, compliant and easy for our people to use.

This is your chance to influence a system that will support thousands of workers across the electrical and communications industry, while strengthening Stowe's safety culture and digital capability.

What You Will Do

As the bridge between our operational HSEQ teams, business stakeholders, IT and the HSI implementation team, you will join the lead SME in eliciting business requirements that turn complex HSEQ needs into workable digital solutions.

  • Requirements & Process Discovery: Elicit, document and validate business requirements across key HSEQ processes including (but not limited too) incidents, hazards, risk, audits, inspections, SWMS, contractor management and corrective actions.
  • Donesafe Configuration Support: Work with the implementation team to translate requirements into Donesafe modules, forms, workflows, permissions, notifications, dashboards and reporting needs. Prior Donesafe experience is preferred.
  • HSEQ Workflow Translation: Convert HSEQ processes such as risk assessments, ICAM investigations, ISO compliance obligations, audit programs and legal compliance activities into clear user journeys and functional specifications.
  • Stakeholder & Workshop Facilitation: Plan and facilitate workshops with internal SMEs, branch representatives and project teams; prepare stakeholders for sessions; capture decisions, actions, risks and dependencies.
  • Testing & Acceptance: Support the Testing and Data lead with UAT planning and execution, manage defects and feedback, and help ensure the configured platform meets business and compliance requirements.
  • Change & Rollout Readiness: Support change impact assessments, user guidance, training material, pilot rollout activities and transition documentation for branch and project teams.
  • Travel: This role may require travel around the various Stowe branches across NSW, QLD and VIC.

The Business Analyst We Need

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong business analysis capability, practical HSEQ domain knowledge and the confidence to work across operational, technical, vendor and project groups.

Essential Experience

  • Business Analysis Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst or similar role, ideally on HSEQ system implementations.
  • HSEQ Domain Exposure: Practical experience working with HSEQ, WHS, risk, incident management, audits, contractor management, quality or environmental management processes.
  • Process & Requirements Skills: Strong ability to map current and future state processes, define business rules, write functional requirements, and convert complex operational needs into practical system outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with operational teams, SMEs, vendors and project stakeholders, including the ability to facilitate workshops and resolve competing requirements.
  • Testing & Delivery Support: Experience supporting UAT, defect triage, data validation, reporting requirements, training artefacts and implementation readiness activities.
  • Communication: The ability to command a room during workshops and articulate technical safety requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Digital Literacy: High-level data skills and the ability to interpret complex process flows.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation principles, subcontractor management and audit processes.

Highly Regarded

  • HSI Donesafe Experience: Hands-on experience using, supporting or configuring HSI Donesafe is highly preferred, particularly with workflows, forms, automation, dashboards and reporting.
  • HSEQ Systems Experience: Experience with other HSEQ, WHS, compliance, audit or contractor management systems will also be well regarded.
  • Industry Background: Experience in construction, electrical contracting, engineering services, facilities management or field-based operations is advantageous.
  • Standards & Audit Knowledge: Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, internal auditing, incident investigation or risk management frameworks is beneficial.

(Note: An electrical trade background or licence is considered an advantage but is not essential).

Why Join This Project?

  • Impact: Play a pivotal role in a high-profile digital transformation for a family-owned industry leader.
  • Influence: Help shape requirements, workflows and user experience so the system works for our people in real operational environments.
  • Variety: Work across HSEQ, operations, technology, data, change and vendor delivery streams on a nationally significant implementation.
  • Longevity: While this is a 6-month contract, extension is highly likely as we move into national rollout and continuous improvement phases.
