About the Role

Stowe Australia is seeking a highly motivated IT Graduate / Junior IT Support to join our team.  This role is ideal for a recent graduate, or current student looking to build hands-on experience across IT support, systems administration, troubleshooting, and customer service. 

The Successful Candidate will be a team player who is outcome focused with a strong sense of responsibility, technically minded and passionate about technology. Ability to work minimum of 3 days is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers and mobile devices
• Assist with user accounts setup, password resets and access permissions
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when required
• Support cybersecurity best practices and company compliance requirements
• Communicate effectively with users to resolve technical issues promptly
• Ensure excellent support to staff at all times

Technical Skills
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS, VPN)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and safe computing practices
• Exposure to Active Directory, cloud platforms, or ticketing systems is advantageous
• Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving capability
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly

Communication Skills / Personal Qualities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Strong attention to details
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Motivated and proactive approach to work

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or currently completing studies in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Internship, placement, or part-time IT experience is highly regarded.
