We are currently inviting applications for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Melbourne Electrical Team. About the Opportunity This position is ideally suited to a candidate with 3-5 years’ post-graduate experience in Building Services; however, we are open to considering applicants with varied experience levels. Reporting to a Senior Engineer, the successful candidate will support the delivery of larger-scale building services projects by managing defined design components under supervision. The role offers strong opportunities for professional development within a well-established and respected organisation. We are seeking an individual who is motivated, technically capable and eager to grow within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities With guidance from a senior mentor, responsibilities will include: - Electrical design for a range of building projects, including preparation of reports, technical studies, design calculations, drawings and specifications
- Design of lighting systems, LV power distribution systems, lightning protection and passive ICT systems
- LV power system and lighting modelling using industry-standard software such as ETAP, Cablizer, PowerCAD, AGi32 and Dialux
- Assisting peers and contributing to coordinated design outcomes
- Participating in internal design and project meetings
- Contributing positively to team culture and business objectives
- Adhering to professional standards, ethical practices and company quality procedures
