The Opportunity – High Voltage Operational Manager An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced High Voltage (HV) Operational Manager to lead, develop, and expand Stowe’s High Voltage construction services within Queensland. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee a dedicated HV team and manage the delivery of complex HV installations, switching, commissioning, and operational activities across major construction projects. You will also play a key role in shaping the strategic growth and long-term direction of Stowe’s HV services. This role is ideally suited to a proactive leader who thrives in technically complex environments, values team development, and excels in stakeholder engagement within a high-performing construction business. Key Responsibilities - Lead, develop, and grow Stowe’s High Voltage operations team within the commercial construction sector.
- Ensure the safe and compliant delivery of complex HV works, including installations, isolations, switching programs, testing, and commissioning.
- Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements, safety regulations, and Stowe policies and procedures.
- Provide technical HV leadership across project tendering, design, and delivery phases.
- Coordinate HV outages, shutdowns, tie-ins, energisations, and commissioning on large-scale projects.
- Mentor, train, and develop team capability through strong performance leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across HV systems and processes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the strategic growth of Stowe’s HV services.
What You’ll Bring You are a confident and capable leader with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to operational delivery. You bring strong technical expertise, proven leadership capability, and the ability to manage high-risk HV environments. You will have: - Demonstrated experience in High Voltage operations within construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven leadership experience managing HV teams and high-risk operational HV activities.
- Strong knowledge of HV networks, protection systems, switching procedures, and commissioning practices.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience implementing and maintaining HV safety and compliance frameworks.
- A commitment to mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in an HV electrical discipline.
- Current HV Switching certification (essential).
- Extensive HV operational experience.
