About the Role…

 

Due to rapid expansion Stowe Australia are seeking a motivated individual to join our Sydney Construction Team. This role will see growth and progression and a long-term employment opportunity.

 

There is a great demand on the position to effectively manage resources to ensure the satisfactory delivery of projects while adhering to deadlines and financial targets

This position requires excellent contractual & technical skills, with the ability to interpret works contracts, specifications, drawings and technical information, problem solving, production control & reporting, and a high level of negotiation & interpersonal skills. In addition, the Contract Administrator is required to promote the capabilities and best interests of Stowe Australia to our employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients at all times

It is expected that Contract Administrators lead by example and shall effectively manage time to achieve productivity goals and installation quality to ensure profitability for the company and make sound decisions based on cost benefit outcomes.

As Senior Electrical Estimator / Electrical Contracts Administrator, you will have the following minimum responsibilities:

  • Sounds Tier 1 Estimating experience
  • Administration of the works contract, all notices and all correspondence
  • Have a sound understanding of Stowe’s contractual obligations including time
  • Have a sound understanding of Stowe’s scope of works and Project Specifications and program requirements.
  • Prepare, update and ensure Stowe’s installation programme is maintained and issued regularly to the client.
  • Monitor both Stowe and Client programmes and submit notices as required in accordance with subcontract time
  • Negotiate and settle variations with the client. Escalate stalemates to senior
  • Project documentation review for client requirements, contractual and specification compliance and Stowe Australia policies and
  • Development of financial budgets, forecast reports, financial reporting and productivity
  • Establish the project financial budget and production control framework based on tender allowances in consultation with the Operations / Branch
  • Be able to perform cost benefit analysis on material and labour options to ensure the most cost-effective outcome for the
  • Maintain customer relationships, including services consulting engineer, architect, regulatory authorities, suppliers and other
  • Preparation of suppliers and subcontractor’s contracts including compliance, departures and  potential savings.
  • Ensure all suppliers / subcontractors complete and return a signed ‘Conditions of Subcontract Supply’ Contract / Conditions in accordance with the Stowe Australia ‘Corporate Governance Framework’.
  • Receive verbal or written instruction of required work, including design, co-ordination and
  • Develop quotations/variations for submission to clients, and keep the clients
  • Commitment to company profitability and a willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Open Electrical License
  • OHS Cert IV (preferred)
  • Cablers Licence (preferred)
  • Construction Industry General Safety Induction
  • Drivers Licence

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience in the electrical & communications contracting industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management of electrical & communications projects
  • Demonstrated advanced Production Control & Reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to discharge company policies and procedures

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management within the electrical & communications contracting industry
  • Well-developed Time Management & Prioritisation abilities
  • Communication – interpersonal & organisational
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project & MS Outlook
  • Team Building
  • Sound Management of Contractual Processes and Documentation
  • Sales and Relationship Building Skills
